In September 2011 the Board of Trustees approved forming a committee to evaluate the feasibility of moving our 6th grade to the middle school. After several months of research and discussion the committee recommended that the 6th grade be moved to the middle school, and the Board approved that recommendation at a March 6, 2012 Special Board meeting.
I would like to personally thank everyone that participated in this process, whether it was as a committee member or a concerned/interested parent or community member. Any decision that impacts our students is important, and no one involved in the final vote took this responsibility lightly. Now I hope we can erase the line that separated those for and those against and work together to make this a successful transition for our kids.
